What is a FirstClass System?
A FirstClass System is a private Collaborative Network, connected to the Internet, that connects all priests, parishes and key laity in a Diocese with the Diocesan Office and with each other. It operates on a Server, running the FirstClass Server software, usually sited in a Diocesan Office, connected to the Internet. When clergy or others connect to the Internet from any computer anywhere in the world, they are presented with a Desktop containing icons that relate to different concerns in the Diocese.
For example, a typical FirstClassDesktop presents to each user the following personal items: Mailbox, Calendar, Contacts, Document Folders, and other personal items. The Desktop also presents common Diocesan items like: Diocesan Information, Diocesan Calendar, Committee Minutes, Notes from the Bishop, Topical Conferences, other collaborative Conferences, and Diocesan Utilities. As well, if the user is a Committee member or a Staff member, there will be private Committee conferences that only Committee members or Staff members can see and use.
The FirstClass System runs on FirstClass Server software, produced by the FirstClass Educational Division of Open Text Corporation, Ontario, Canada. FirstClass is the largest producer of educational communication software in the world.
Church Consulting is a licenced Channel Partern for FirstClass, and has adapted the FirstClass Educational software for the Church. It is perfectly adapted for a Diocese, a Theological College, Distant Learning, or any Church Group.
"Church Consulting Inc." can help a Diocese or Church Group with Email Communication and Conferencing.

A Complete System Made to Order:
|
CCI will provide everything including Server hardware, Windows XP Pro, FirstClass software (v 8), FirstClass Licences, and a completely configured system for your Diocese, installed and ready to operate, in one week. |
|
Then for two more weeks, CCI will travel anywhere in your diocese or area to do Training Workshops for clergy and people. |
|
All together, we would expect to be in your diocese or area for 3 weeks to complete the installation and the the Training Workshops. When we leave you will have a complete working FirstClass Email system, configured to your needs, and a committee trained to look after the system and continue the Training. |
|
The complete cost is much less than you imagine. Your diocese or church group will definitely save money in annual running costs compared to any other Information System. |
All this includes Training Workshops?
|
Absolutely Yes!
When you invite Church Consulting Inc to come to your diocese or church, we will provide Training Workshops for the priests and people in the use of your FirstClass Diocesan Intranet. We will go to locations around your diocese to provide these Workshops. We will train SubAdministrators on these Training Workshops so that they will be trained to do Workshops after we are gone. CCI will guarantee the whole installation for One Year. |
|
If you wish, CCI will connect your FirstClass Diocesan System to the Internet and to the growing network of Anglican/Episcopalian Diocesan systems in the Inter Anglican Information Networks. |
